Global, Fortune 500 Company Receives Vans in Under Three Weeks
After securing a large contract earlier than they expected, a global, Fortune 500 company approached Kingbee with an immediate need for a large quantity of vehicles that their fleet management company (FMC) was unable to provide in the extremely restrictive timeline laid out in the contract. Although this company already maintains a massive fleet, their existing inventory was not sufficient to fulfill the new contract, which was to provide facility management services to one of the nation’s largest retailers.
A Challenge With Procurement
Quickly procuring vehicles is difficult for any company, even a multinational conglomerate like our client. They couldn’t afford to wait for their current vehicle provider to order new vehicles, coordinate with an equipment upfitter, send the vehicles to be branded, then be shipped to multiple locations—a process that can take 6–8 months.
Contract Fulfilled Thanks to Kingbee
In merely three weeks, Kingbee was able to facilitate our client’s entire order so that their new contract was serviced in a timely manner and without interruption. Kingbee’s extensive inventory of available vehicles, combined with our in-house upfitting and wrap shops, enabled us to supplement the client’s fleet with new vehicles in under 3 weeks.
Kingbee’s proprietary in-house process allows us to exercise total control over quality, communication, and support. From order to delivery, the client always knew where their vehicles were and when they were expected to be completed. In addition to providing the necessary vehicles to complete a large job, our vans arrived fully integrated with the client’s fleet management services. As a result, the client didn’t face any additional operational hurdles that typically come with using a new provider.
Results
Kingbee was able to provide the first batch of 45 vehicles, upfitted with the required equipment in under 3 weeks. The client has since put in subsequent orders for an additional 61 vehicles—which were delivered in a similar timeframe—and they conveyed plans for continued orders in the near future.
