Rental Basics
By confirming a booking, you represent that you are renting for business purposes, you enter into a legally binding Rental Agreement, and you expressly authorize Kingbee to charge the payment method on file for all amounts due under the Agreement, including but not limited to:
Payment Method Requirement:
You are required to maintain a valid, active payment method on the Platform at all times during the Rental Period. Failure to maintain an active payment method constitutes a material breach of the Rental Agreement and may result in suspension, termination, repossession of the vehicle, and/or additional fees.
Commercial Use Only:
Vehicles are rented solely for commercial and business purposes. By confirming a booking, you represent that you are renting the Vehicle for use in the operation of your business and not for personal, family, or household use. Vehicles may be operated only by you or your authorized drivers in the ordinary course of your business, and may not be used on gig platforms (such as Uber, Lyft, or DoorDash) unless expressly approved by Kingbee in writing. Any personal, family, or household use is a material breach of the Rental Agreement and may result in termination, repossession of the Vehicle, and additional fees.
Billing Disputes:
Any billing questions or disputes must be escalated directly to Kingbee in writing in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. You agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes with your card issuer without first providing Kingbee a reasonable opportunity to review and respond. In the event you initiate a chargeback or credit card dispute without first raising the matter directly with Kingbee, Kingbee reserves the right to immediately terminate your reservation and recover any and all Vehicles associated with your account. All costs of recovery, including towing, transportation, and administrative fees, shall be solely at your expense. Unauthorized chargebacks may also result in additional administrative fees, collections activity, and/or permanent account suspension.
Billing Terms:
The standard Rental Term is twelve (12) months. If you return the Vehicle prior to the expiration of your Rental Term, an Early Return Penalty (“ERP”) will apply equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total rental charges remaining under the unexpired Rental Term, calculated at your contracted rental rate. The ERP will be charged to the payment method on file upon early return, in addition to any upfitting, de-installation, or restoration costs. Early return does not relieve you of financial responsibility for any other unpaid amounts under the Rental Agreement.
All charges remain subject to the full Terms and Conditions, which govern in the event of any inconsistency.
Common Fees (Examples Only – Not a Comprehensive List):
The following fees are provided as examples and are not a complete or exhaustive list of potential charges. In certain instances, the fee listed below represents an administrative charge and may be assessed in addition to the actual cost to repair, remediate, replace, or otherwise address the issue.
Any vehicle returned with an active dashboard warning light will require a diagnostic inspection and repair before it can be safely re-rented. The customer is responsible for the full cost of the diagnostic test, all repairs required to remedy the issue, and any related expenses necessary to restore the vehicle to safe operating condition, in addition to the applicable fee. Customer is responsible for all actual costs incurred by Kingbee related to damage, loss, misuse, cleaning, remediation, recovery, or non-compliance with the Rental Agreement. For a complete description of applicable fees, charges, and responsibilities, Customer must refer to the full Terms and Conditions, which control in the event of any inconsistency.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all required maintenance is performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule and specifications. All maintenance must be performed by qualified, licensed vendors using commercially reasonable standards.
Where Kingbee covers or reimburses maintenance costs, reimbursement will be based on reasonable and customary rates for the applicable service in the relevant market, as determined by Kingbee in its sole discretion, and will not exceed the billed amount. Invoices reflecting rates above reasonable and customary will be reimbursed only up to the reasonable and customary rate, regardless of the amount charged by the service provider.
Certain maintenance, repairs, or services may require prior written approval from Kingbee. Customer must provide timely documentation, invoices, and receipts upon request.
Failure to complete required maintenance when due, including but not limited to oil changes, fluid services, tire rotations, brake servicing, recall compliance, or responding to dashboard warning indicators, constitutes a material breach of the Rental Agreement.
If Customer fails to timely complete required maintenance:
Kingbee may complete or arrange for the required maintenance at Customer’s expense. Customer will be billed for the full cost of such maintenance and any related towing, downtime, inspection, diagnostic, or remediation costs; and
An administrative fee may be assessed in addition to the actual cost of maintenance.
Neglecting warning lights, recall notices, or required maintenance may result in additional fees and full financial responsibility for any resulting mechanical damage, diminished value, loss of use, towing, storage, or related costs.
Customer remains fully responsible for all damage arising from deferred, improper, or unauthorized maintenance.
